An Honest Review of My Wildfit 90 Day Challenge

 

A few months ago I was at a breaking point with my health. I was on my yearly vacation back to my parents home, 3000 miles away. This is a time of year that I hold sacred - as I not only get to see my family and catch up, but I also get some much needed reprieve from parenthood as cousins, aunts and grandparents are more than happy to take our girls off our hands for some much needed Rest and relaxation.

I was carrying an extra 50lbs (25kgs) and I could FEEL it.

The Pros and Cons of Wildfit (and honest review from my experience)

 

So I am not going to lie to you. This program is not a walk in the park. There will be times when you are questioning it. Times when you question your investment and times when you want to quit… however, there is something about this program… how it is designed, how it educates you and how it takes your body through a powerful healing experience that makes you keep going. 

 

There were moments when I wanted to throw in the towel. There were moments when I went off course and ate food I should not have… yet with each detour, I learned invaluable lessons about myself and my body. ANd surprisingly I kept going!!! Unlike other ‘diets’ I have tried in the past… this one was EASY to get back on track with! 

 

In this section I am going to talk about the pros and cons of the program in my humble opinion. 



Pros: 

  • Long Term Sustainability: Wildfit is so much more than a weight loss program, it is a lifestyle change. A sustainable lifestyle change. Have you ever tried a diet program in the past only to lose motivation or lose weight to only gain it back a few months later? Hand raised. I used to always invest in beachbody. I would do these crazy exercise programs for a few weeks at a time, shed a lot of weight, however lose total motivation a few weeks/months in and then never sustain the ‘exercise’ lifestyle that they promote. Leaving me defeated and honestly hating exercise. WildFit is different… in fact, for most of the program, instead of focusing on exercise you are focusing on nutrition and healing your body. You are doing the deeper work… you are not putting a band-aid on. You are FIXING the issues that keep leading you down the yo-you path.  Unlike many fad diets that offer quick fixes but are difficult to maintain, WildFit teaches you how to create lasting habits that support your health and well-being. By the end of the program, you will have a deep understanding of your body's nutritional needs and the tools to make informed choices about what you eat.



  • Break Free From Emotional Eating: So I am 100% guilty of snacking after the kids are in bed. I sit down on the couch, taking my first break of the day, slip on my favourite TLC show and bam… out comes the bag of chips…. And BAM… there goes the whole bag of chips…. Many people turn to food as a way to cope with stress, boredom, or other emotions. WildFit provides you with the tools and support you need to address the root causes of emotional eating and develop healthier coping mechanisms. Because of the information I learned in Wildfit, I learned how to be a more conscious eater. And even when I did slip up (which actually really surprised me that I barely did the whole challenge) I LEARNED from the experience. I LISTENED to my body. And I actually HATED the way the chips made me feel. THis is the magic of this program. If you do the work… if you trust the process… it freaking works! 



  • Eye opening - Eric’s videos are always eye-opening. Whether you agree with all he says or not, he provides a different perspective on the food industry and why the hell we are so addicted to sugar. He shares insightful information backed in science that allows you to re-evaluate how you look at food. Something that is profoundly powerful - because once you understand something and understand why we do what we do… it is a gamechanger in making lasting changes. There were some things in this program that I wish I didn't know… however once you know you cannot ‘un-know’ it… and it will change your life. 

 

  • Reconnect with your Body - I had never realized the amount of CRAP I was putting in my body and what my body needed in order to heal. I was a hard-core mindless eater before Wildfit… now I am a proud conscious eater. I have such a deeper understanding of my body - of what it needs- of what the difference is between ‘functional’ and “non-functional” food. **** SIDE NOTE **** I highly, highly recommend joining when the program is offered with live training. Although ERics core program is phenomenal… the amount of insight I gained from listening to his Master Coaches was absolutely a GAMECHANGER. Coach Kerry Dell was my Master Coach and WOW… the amount I learned about healing my body, understanding why my body was doing what - was incredible and honestly I do not think I would have had as much success on the program without her teachings. 

 

  • Non Scale Victories - So before Wildfit, I didn’t really think about ‘non-scale victories’ as so many diets and weightloss programs focus on measurement and weight loss. And of course, at the end of the day most people who join these programs may have some weight to release… however this program is deeper than that. Not only will you release weight, you will gain so many more ‘non-scale victories. Like more energy, less inflammation, less joint pain, glowing skin, healthier hair and nails, whiter teeth, less heartburn, less headaches… and the list can go on and on (A list that you will get as part of the program to track your progress!). 

 

  • WeightLoss - Of course this is a benefit… Although each person is different… as this is a health optimization program versus a weightloss program…. Many people experience weightloss, myself included! THe cool thing about this program is that there is such a wide variety of people of all august, stages and sizes. Whether you are joining to release weight or joining strictly for health optimization… you will see the benefits you want. 


 

Cons

  • It is a challenge. It is  going to challenge you mentally and physically - this is not easy… but if you want sustainable change, then this is the program for you. There were more than a few moments I questioned my investment, if I could do it and what the hell I was doing… however I saw the testimonials of THOUSANDS of people... I committed to the program and I TRUSTED the process. And this kept me going. Because each time I was ready to quit… I would learn something new about myself and my body and my curiosity and desire for health optimization pushed me forward. 

 

  • It is not a ‘magic pill’... you have to do the work. You have to set away the time to do the reflection pieces, to engage in the videos, and to learn a different way of looking at food. Eating and nutrition is one part of the work.. The other part is getting curious about how your body reacts, how your mind talks you in and out of things and how you can being to change them.

 

  • Must engage in cooking - if you are not a cook… well get ready because you are going to be cooking. You don’t need to be a master chef or anything, but do expect to be cooking and doing a bit of grocery prep and meal prep. 

 

  • Time consuming - you need to DEDICATE yourself for 90 days - like seriously… if you want to get the most out of it commit… to this and not much else. Engage in videos, training, live calls, fb group… it makes all the difference. Obviously there are people at all levels and stages of their h health optimization journey. For me, I was at the beginning…. Overweight by 50 lbs…. Never having really understood my body, how food works and the impacts it has on all areas of my life. So for me, it was a big learning curve. For others it may not be so much. Regardless, you will get so much out of this program IF you do the work. 

 

  • Food Expenses may Rise - A big complaint I had read about the program was increased food costs. The thing about this program is you make it work for you. So although in the program certain types of organic food were recommended… as I am a Mom on a budget, I made it work for us. I did not get all the top quality food and I still saw massive results. And in reality, because I was eating so much less of the crap (chips, chocolate snacks) the money I save there was just relocated to the food recommended on the program. Also, it got me out to my local food markets and really taught me how to eat locally and seasonally. So although this may be a concern… If you are resourceful, you will take it as a learning opportunity and integrate it into your budget! BEcause remember this is a lifestyle, not a diet. The program doesn;t end after 90 days… it is the blueprint for the rest of your life. So you make it work for you! 

 

  • The Price of the Program. Okay this program is an INVESTMENT. Many people get turned off by the price… but the thing is you need to shift your perspective on this. How much money do you waste on food? Drinks? Clothing? Prevention medicines, supplements, trends? I bet a lot. I know I did. So when I look at the bigger picture of life… of what is important to me… energy, vitality, health, being able to play with my kids without getting out of breath, loving my body again, feeling less pain in my joints…. Well this program seems pretty darn cheap. And honestly, You get A LOT for this program. I believe it is totally fairly priced for the MASSIVE transformation you will have in your life.

Tips for successfully completing the WildFit program

While the WildFit program is designed to be accessible and achievable for everyone, it does require commitment and dedication. Here are a few tips to help you make the most of your WildFit journey:

Seriously…. Drop all the other crap you know and TRUST THE PROCESS. Be open…. Listen to the coaches… and just let yourself move through the program.

This includes eliminating the foods that are not allowed and focusing on whole, nutrient-dense foods. This can be hard at times… but the cool thing about Wildfit is that if you accidentally ‘fall off the wagon’ or eat that food you ‘shouldn;t’ have… it is all good, instead of beating yourself up about it you look into your body and feel how it feels and LEARN from it. 

 

3. Seek support: Lean on the WildFit community and your coaches for support and motivation. They are there to help you navigate any challenges you may face and keep you on track. This was HUGE to my success. I dedicated my 90 days to this program. No other program. Just this one… and I engaged in almost all the live trainings to get the maximum benefits. Learning from the coaches was INVALUABLE. 

 

4. Celebrate small wins and ditch the scale for the time in the program. The program will teach you about ‘non-scale victories’. This is a long term health optimization program that teaches you how to make sustainable changes for life. That means that there may be times where you do see the perceive ‘success’ that you want… however if you commit to the process, if you give yourself the time to heal…. The time for your body to rest… you WILL SEE RESULTS…. Commit to yourself. You are paying for this program… so pay and COMMIT. It will pay off in dividends.
